For starters, for my daydream project, I had many ideas but with my experience, it was very limited. I bit off more than I can chew when it came to drawing everything frame by frame in procreate. In the end, it somehow worked successfully. Although I wish I had more time so I can add more animation than what I had I believe it came out great.
While creating this my biggest inspiration was more towards nightmares than dreaming. I watch a lot of Sam and Colby. They specialize in doing a lot of paranormal investigations. This is where part of my inspiration came from. The other part was mostly wanting to do something that was different. Most of the examples that were shown in class were mostly having to do with daydreaming or tripping on acid. Seeing those videos didn't motivate me to do something similar. In fact, it made me branch out, I wanted to do something that was a bit more serious and not funny.
In my animations, the major 'fears' I strived to convey were the fears of falling in your sleep and heights. My other nightmare would be claustrophobia and the walls closing in. My final fear I tried to convey is sleep paralysis where you feel a presence but you can't really see it. All in all, I think with the time I had, it was very well done as much as I could.
